BJJKSS Introduction

About Bhartiya Jan Jeevan Kalyan Seva Samiti (BJJKSS NGO)

  • BJJKSS is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 in the year 2006 in the state of Uttar Pradesh focusing on creating awareness about education among the society. We do this through well-planned and comprehensive projects in Health, Education, Livelihood and Disaster preparation and response. Our overall goal is empowerment of women and girls from poor and marginalized communities to help them earn their livelihood and improve their standard of living.
  • Our organization has been benefitting over 1000 children and their families every year, through various live welfare projects related to education, healthcare, livelihood and women empowerment in over 150 remote villages and slum areas across the state of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Doubtless, education is the most powerful catalyst for social transformation. But child education cannot be done in isolation. A child will go to school only if the family, particularly the mother, is assured of healthcare and is also empowered. Moreover, when an elder sibling is relevantly skilled to be employable and starts earning, the journey of empowerment continues beyond the present generation.
  • Realizing this, Bhartiya Jan Jeevan Kalyan Seva Samiti, began a journey focusing on education, adopted a lifecycle approach of development, focusing its interventions on children, their families and the larger community.
  • Bhartiya Jan Jeevan Kalyan Seva Samiti believes that unless each and every member of the society is involved proactively in the process of development, sustainable change will not happen. Following this model of Civic Driven Change, BJJKSS NGO sensitizes and engages the civil society, making it an active partner in all of its welfare initiatives.
